\I never knew how much I enjoyed hearing about events that go on throughout the world, and news in general, until I stopped hearing about them.
\In high school, I would hear about current happenings from the many familiar people that I saw everyday in school. I even had a history teacher that would tell my class the news every day to try and make us “history buffs”. I thought the news was boring back then and hardly paid attention and never participated in sharing new news during class.
\Then I Graduated and stopped seeing those friends every day and I realized how much I was missing out if I didn’t hear the news. I would see someone occasionally that would know all the current news and he would tell me something big that happened that everyone was supposed to know about. I never started paying more attention to the news but I did find it weird that with all the technology available to me I still didn’t know what was happening in my own province and country. Not to mention my world.
\I’m hoping that I will get into looking up the news this year everyday now that I am in school again. I also hope that I will continue to enjoy it even if I have to work for my own news.
